Carne Asada Soft Tacos

Ingredients

Olive oil

30 ml / 2 tbsp

Beef flank steak

1.8 kg / 64 oz

Onion, yellow

454 g / 16 oz

Red bell pepper

454 g / 16 oz

Olive oil

30 ml / 2 tbsp

Chile pepper, Jalapeño, sliced, de-seeded

28 g / 1 oz

Cilantro, chopped

125 ml / 1/2 cup

Barbecue sauce

175 ml / 3/4 cup

Minor's Chipotle Flavour Concentrate 6 x 14.4 ounces

125 ml / 1/2 cup

Flour tortillas, 6-inch

Method

  1. Coat flank steak in 2 tbsp of the olive oil, season to taste, and grill to desired temperature. Reserve.
  2. Peel the onions and cut each into 3 large rings. Toss the onions and peppers in 2 tbsp of olive oil, season to taste and grill until tender. Remove seeds from peppers and roughly chop the onions and peppers; mix together with jalapeño and cilantro.
  3. Thinly slice the flank steak on a bias and mix with the vegetables.
  4. Combine barbecue sauce and Chipotle Flavour Concentrate, toss with the carne asada mixture. Warm the tortillas and fill each tortilla with 5-6 oz of mixture. Serve 2 per order.
