Donuts made with KITKAT® Spread

A light and fluffy yeast ring donut dipped in KITKAT® Spread and sprinkled with crushed KITKAT®.

Milk, 2%

1/2 cup +1 tbsp.

Sugar, white

Instant Dry Yeast

Butter, unsalted - melted

Flour, All-purpose

KITKAT® Spread, warmed slightly

KITKAT® Crushed

  1. Warm the milk in a pot on the stove over medium low heat, once warm add sugar, stir to dissolve. Add yeast and stir to combine. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Beat egg, melted butter and vanilla together in a bowl. Add to milk mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Slowly add the flour and salt to the mixture in small batches to combine.
  4. Once combined let dough sit for 10 minutes. Then place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with wrap and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  5. Remove dough from fridge and place on a floured surface. Roll dough to 1 1/2 cm thick. Use a donut cutter to cut out donuts. Place them on a oiled tray and cover with wrap when done. Let donuts site for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Use deep fryer or place 4 cm of oil in pan and heat to 350 F.
  7. Place donuts in hot oil and fry each side until golden - approx. 1 minute per side. Place on a rack to cool slightly.
  8. Warm KITKAT® Spread slightly in microwave safe bowl - this is so that you can dip the donuts in the spread and cover the top of each donut in KITKAT® Spread.
  9. Top with crumbled KITKAT®.

Note - you can also pipe KITKAT® Spread inside your donuts. Just place KITKAT® Spread in a piping bag and fill the inside of your donut with spread.
